Support High-Value Commercial and Industrial Infrastructure.

Pickett Facilities Maintenance is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Facility Maintenance Technician to join one of the fastest-growing professional service teams in the Mid-Atlantic region. We represent a firm with over 100 years of combined industry expertise.

This role offers the exciting, fast-paced variety of a "master handyman" position backed by the absolute stability of a family-owned company that actively invests in your long-term career growth. You will serve as the face of our company in the field, providing the essential, multi-trade repairs that keep our commercial and industrial clients operational, safe, and successful.

What You Will Be Doing

You will manage a dynamic daily schedule, transitioning efficiently between multiple job sites with minimal oversight to solve real-time facility issues:

  • Multi-Trade Execution: Execute diverse, high-quality repairs across commercial carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Complex Diagnostics: Diagnose real-time technical issues on-site, ranging from light ballast replacements to clearing complex commercial drainage obstructions.
  • Quality Control: Maintain exceptional, high-quality standards for all installations and repairs to uphold the company’s elite reputation.
  • Client & Team Communication: Communicate work order status and technical results clearly to management to ensure absolute client satisfaction and operational transparency.
  • Site Safety: Proactively identify potential site hazards and implement strict safety protocols to protect yourself, the public, and the client’s environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Significant hands-on, professional experience in carpentry and general commercial building maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in the safe, effective operation of professional hand and power tools.
  • Code Compliance: Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret and adhere to building regulations and local codes.
  • Mindset & Communication: Strong organizational skills with a highly customer-service-oriented mindset. You must have the capacity to manage a flexible work schedule independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Mastery: 10+ years of proven experience in facility maintenance or professional carpentry.
  • Multi-Trade Knowledge: Proven, hands-on experience performing "handyman" services across multiple specialized trades (electrical, plumbing, and HVAC).
  • Military Experience: Prior military service (Veterans are highly encouraged to apply!).
