Location Overview
Join our team in Amanyara.  Basking on the secluded shores of an 18,000-acre nature reserve, Amanyara’s lush tropical pavilions and villas overlook half a mile of white sand beaches and the turquoise waters of Providenciales' North West Point Marine National Park. Key Responsibilities

Management and Supervision

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the dedicated kitchen stations.
  • Ensure proper preparation and presentation of all dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and gourmet aesthetics.
  • Assign tasks, organize shifts, and ensure efficiency at each workstation.
  • Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff, promoting professional development and technical skills.
  • Act as owner and as Aman brand ambassador while facing guests and interacting with them, making operational and planning decisions.
  • Assist Exec Chef in elaborating innovative and artistically superior food items, cost efficient products that enhance the reputation of the F&B outlets, while meeting quality and presentation standards in respect with budget department costs

Culinary Production and Operations

  • Ensure consistency, flavor, texture, and presentation of all dishes served.
  • Actively participate in the production of complex and high-end dishes.
  • Coordinate preparations for banquets, special events, and à la carte services.
  • Implement continuous improvements in kitchen processes and workflow.
  • Master Japanese culinary techniques of sushi making, from fish preparations to rice
  • Provide invaluable knowledge of Japanese traditional food culture to be integrated in menus, preparations as well as during guests’ interactions

Quality Control and Inventory

  • Verify freshness, quality, and proper storage of all ingredients.
  • Conduct daily market list as per department standards
  • Oversee inventory, waste control, and supply requisitions to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, safety, and food handling standards (HACCP).

Hygiene, Safety, and Compliance

  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen operating at the highest safety standards.
  • Supervise adherence to all internal hygiene and food safety procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery are in optimal working condition.

Team Collaboration and Development

  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan menus, create innovative dishes, and set quality standards.
  • Support the training and development of kitchen staff, fostering a professional, respectful, and motivating environment.
  • Report and inform Executive Chef any problems and irregularities and recommend course of action
  • Contribute to culinary innovation and the development of gastronomic concepts aligned with Amanyara’s luxury experience.

Qualifications

  • Professional training in gastronomy or culinary arts.
  • 5–8 years of experience in luxury hotels, high-end resorts, or fine dining restaurants, including prior experience as a Sushi Chef (or Teppan Chef)
  • Experience supervising and leading large teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in Japanese cuisine (Sushi / Teppan). Great knifework and plating skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to positively and remarkably interact with guests.
  • Mastery of Washoku cuisine, understanding of Japanese cultural aspects, yet open to the world mentality and flexibility.
  • Ability to plan menus, coordinate production, and optimize kitchen processes.
  • Deep knowledge of hygiene, safety, and inventory control standards.
  • Experience in banquets, special events, and high-end service operations.
  • Strong leadership, effective communication, and team motivation skills.
  • Commitment to excellence, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Organization, discipline, and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to develop talent and train future kitchen leaders.
  • Commitment to Aman`s culture of luxury and hospitality.
  • Conversational English required. Must be able to communicate effectively with international guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
