Position Summary



The position of a Washington Regional Medical Center Volunteer reports to the Volunteer Services Manager. This position is responsible for interacting with the organization’s internal and external community members in a supportive and positive manner. This position is responsible for upholding the Mission, Vision and Values of Washington Regional while serving in a variety of functions and performing various tasks throughout the Medical Center.



Essential Position Responsibilities




  • Interact with internal and external community members in a positive and effective way.

  • Assist with wayfinding throughout the Medical Center

  • Assist with deliveries to patient rooms, as needed

  • Provide a positive and engaging customer service focused experience through a variety of communication methods, including answering phone calls, emailing, or intersecting guests in-person

  • Assist visitors in locating departments or patients, as needed



Qualifications




  • Education:  High school diploma or GED, preferred

  • Licensure and Certifications: N/A

  • Experience & Skills:  Effective communication skills; ability to work in a variety of settings with a variety of personalities

  • Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting performing administrative tasks or creative activities.
