Northeast Arc is seeking a per diem 1:1 College Navigator to support adults with Developmental Disabilities as they transition into and navigate college life in Lawrence Massachusetts!

Job Summary: Assist individuals on the Autism Spectrum throughout their college experience by helping them access supports and opportunities to successfully navigate college.

Pay: $23.50�$31.50 per hour (based on education and experience)

Job Type: Per-Diem

Schedule: 2�3 hours per client per week; Can work up to 20 hours per week (exact schedule is based on client needs and employee availability, may include evenings and weekends).

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and assist individuals one-on-one with developing plans, registering for classes, and applying for financial aid as needed
  • Collaborate with families, service providers, and college instructors as appropriate � Assist individuals in identifying, accessing, and navigating essential college services
  • Ensure individuals are completing coursework; present weekly lessons on topics such as goal setting, choosing colleges and careers, understanding a syllabus, interpreting program guides, understanding financial aid, and time management
  • Support students in preparing for employment, including resume and cover letter development and job search assistance
  • Maintain detailed and accurate participant records; complete all required paperwork in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies
  • Provide resources to individuals and families as needed
  • Assist individuals in developing skills in communication, socialization, personal independence, and community integration

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Master�s degree in a related field (Social Work, Human Services, Special Education, etc.)
  • 2�3 years of experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities; experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient technology skills for documentation, note-taking, and clocking in/out
  • Valid driver�s license required
  • Ability to pass required background checks (CORI, SORI)

Work Environment: In-home and community-based settings, including college campuses. Ability to travel for work-related events required.
