Title:               Project Management Office Manager

Position Summary

The PMO Manager is responsible for establishing, leading, and optimizing the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure all strategic initiatives and projects are aligned with business priorities and executed with discipline, consistency, and measurable results. This role will drive project governance, standardization, and accountability across the organization while partnering with executive leadership to prioritize and deliver key business initiatives.

The PMO Manager plays a critical role in enabling operational excellence, supporting cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring successful execution of enterprise-wide projects.

 

PMO Leadership & Governance

  • Establish and lead the PMO function, including project governance, methodologies, tools, and reporting standards
  • Define and enforce project management best practices across all departments
  • Develop standardized templates, processes, and workflows for project execution
  • Ensure alignment of all projects with company strategic goals and priorities

Project Oversight & Execution

  • Oversee a portfolio of projects across operations, IT, safety, finance, and other business units
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, risks, and overall performance
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes

Executive Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates and dashboards to executive leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes
  • Facilitate executive-level project reviews and decision-making sessions
  • Ensure transparency and accountability across all active initiatives

Resource & Portfolio Management

  • Partner with leadership to prioritize projects based on business impact and resource availability
  • Optimize resource allocation across projects and departments
  • Evaluate project ROI and ensure efficient use of company resources

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, IT, HR, Safety, Finance, and Sales to drive alignment and execution
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for enterprise initiatives
  • Support change management efforts tied to major projects and business transformations

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project execution, efficiency, and outcomes
  • Implement tools and systems to enhance visibility and performance tracking
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and results

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Carries out duties assigned by Vice President of People as required.
