Job Description

Purpose of Position

The Safety Investigations Specialist assists the Safety Investigations Manager in the execution of the comprehensive NetJets Safety Program. This includes investigating safety events, incidents, accidents and facilitating the Safety Risk Management (SRM) Process.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety investigations of accidents, incidents, and irregular events and formulate recommendationsto the business based on the findings. Investigations may be conducted on site or remotely performed.
  • Facilitate Safety Risk Management process, conduct safety risk analysis, and monitor the effectiveness ofsafety risk controls. Interface with operational departments and third party providers to ensurestandardization of safety risk controls across all areas.
  • Identify and work with Operational Departments, and third party providers to implement SafetyEnhancements.
  • Conduct safety training for various employee groups, and third party providers.
  • Assist with Safety Meeting development and execution.

Desired Education

Bachelor's in Aeronautics or Aviation Management
Executive Education in Various

Preferred Certifications and Licenses

FAA Commercial Instrument
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • Operational Experience within Aviation Safety, Flight Operations, Maintenance Operations or equivalenttransportation industry.
  • Experience with managing ramp operations at a Fixed Based Operator (FBO).
  • Professional training and/or education in safety investigation fundamentals.
  • Professional experience and/or education in Safety Risk Management (SRM).
  • Formal accident investigation training from NTSB, Military or equivalent.
  • Experience in marshalling, and fueling aircraft.
  • Must possess a demonstrated high degree of personal and professional integrity with the ability to maintainconfidentiality.
  • Detail oriented characteristics with an ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a dynamic environment withconstantly shifting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write effective reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
