JOB DESCRIPTION:
The supervisor is responsible for assisting the Technical Field Advisor with support, and advice during the overhaul, inspection, repair and installation of all turbine and generator equipment. Must be able to troubleshoot and effectively communicate with management, customers, and employees. The supervisor will also oversee all aspects of the day to day job site requirements and ensure the company, employees and customer needs are met by utilizing all available resources in the most effective, efficient manner while providing a safe working environment.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Attend customer site meetings to provide progress updates and discuss technical issues and solutions.
- Have an extensive knowledge of all the technical processes and parts associated with the removal, repair and installation of all turbine parts and be able to participate in and/or supervise outages.
- Check to ensure that procedures are being followed and that key stages of the job are being carried out correctly.
- Carry out inspections of removed parts and record any anomalies onto the relevant inspection sheet.
- Report accidents that occur onsite to appropriate stakeholders and assist in any investigations that arise as a result of any accidents.
- Ensure team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities onsite as well as provide continuous feedback to employees when needed.
- Complete crew performance feedback and complete performance evaluations at the end of every job.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
- Ensure operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Keep detailed and accurate reports/documentation.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in supervising gas and steam turbine generator overhauls.
- OEM training and experience with GE, Siemens, Alstom, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, or other OEM turbine generators.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of APG and within the customer organization.
- Highly developed planning and organizational skills.
- Committed to safety and have a good work ethic.
- Computer competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc.).

- Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet demands of the role.
- Up to 80% travel which may include overnight travel.
- While performing the duties of this job is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
