Configuration Manager - Your future role?

As a Configuration Manager in Budapest, you will have ownership of the Configuration Management process, by which information about Configuration Items required to deliver IT and OT services is maintained. You will define and maintains a logical model containing the components of the IT and OT infrastructure (CIs) and their relationships. She/he is accountable for the quality, the relevance, and the completeness of its content.

You will report to the Technology Lifecycle Manager.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Defines & maintains the configuration framework (CMDB model)
  • Documents and promotes CMDB usage throughout IT and OT organizations
  • Ensures all relevant parties are trained to use CMDB and are aware of related processes
  • Monitor adherence to technical, quality and security standards to ensure compliance within processes and procedures
  • Captures requirements from IT and OT stakeholders for data elements to be included in CMDB and triggers appropriate actions to fulfill these requirements
  • Audits & verifies CIs contained within the CMDB
  • Finds inconsistencies and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their correction.
  • Translate requirements into specifications, being the link between our users and the development team
  • Develop and deliver training materials to educate users on how to effectively use configuration management, promoting user adoption and maximizing productivity
  • Maintains CMDB structure and content consistency over various changes that can happen (tools upgrades, vendor changes, ebonding changes). Triggers appropriate actions (projects, changes) to maintain this consistency
  • Define and maintain the Configuration Management strategy
  • Contributes to continuous improvement in Configuration Management and CMDB

 

You have:

  • University or College degree
  • Fluent in English
  • 5+ years of experience in IT
  • 2+ years of experience in ITSM and Configuration Management
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Ability to build appropriate understanding of service management tools up to a certain level of technical and functional details
  • Ability to collaborate across geographical, organizational and cultural boundaries
  • Expert in Configuration Mgt and CMDB Tools
  • ServiceNow CMDB experience is a must
