Strategic Venues and Event Services - Operations Crew

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The
Operations Crew encompasses multiple positions including Operations hands,
Stagehands, and Operations Leads.
These positions all operate on a flexibly scheduled basis.

The Operations hand position helps set up, convert, and strike
event spaces across campus mainly including items such as tables and
chairs.  This position is available for all new hires with no previous
experience required.

The Stagehand position helps set up, convert, and strike
larger scale events in the Curb Event Center arena, Fisher Center for the
Performing Arts, or other event spaces as necessary including items such as
staging equipment, flooring, and bleachers.
This position requires at least one semester of previous
experience working for Operations in either a regularly scheduled (Federal Work
Study) or flexibly scheduled capacity and completion of a paid live in-person
training session.

The Operations Lead is a student leadership position for both
regularly scheduled (Federal Work Study) and flexibly scheduled student
Operations hands ensuring the set up, conversion, and strike of event spaces
across campus.  Previous experience working for Operations in either a
regularly scheduled (Federal Work Study) or flexibly scheduled capacity highly
preferred.

Working Conditions: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.


Required Qualifications

Please Note:
This is not an FWS position and does not guarantee regular working hours.
Applicants wishing to work on the FWS Operations crew with regularly scheduled
weekly hours/pay should apply to the Operations/Set Up (FWS) job position.

All students must be able to immediately present original IDs as outlined by
Federal I9 requirements if hired (please come to campus prepared).

Must be able to work mornings, days, evenings and/or weekends. 

This job requires U.S. work authorization.
