Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and ongoing service of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems used in power generation and industrial applications. This is a highly hands-on, travel-based role where you’ll work directly at customer sites to start up, troubleshoot, and optimize equipment. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, solving complex technical problems, and operating independently.

Key Responsibilities

Field Service & Commissioning:

  • Perform on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Test, tune, and optimize system performance in coordination with internal engineering and project teams
  • Support system upgrades and retrofits across industrial and power generation environments

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Provide both on-site and remote troubleshooting support
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service as needed

Customer & Project Coordination:

  • Work closely with project managers and internal teams to meet project schedules
  • Communicate directly with customers to provide updates, technical support, and recommendations
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in customer-facing environments

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Complete detailed service reports including scope of work, materials used, and observations
  • Track labor, travel, and project-related activity using internal systems

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic system training to customers when required
  • Support in-house service or repair work when not traveling
  • Follow all company and customer-specific safety requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years of experience in field service, hydraulics, or related technical field
  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components
  • Experience with PLC setup and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret electro-hydraulic schematics
  • Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical systems

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Valid passport for international travel
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and extended assignments
  • Ability to work independently in field environments
