Under the supervision of the After All Program Coordinator, the Group Leader is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the after-school program and will act as the on-site Coordinator in the After All Program Coordinator's absence.
Work Performed:
1) Plan, prepare, and implement everyday activities.
2) Assist in assuring individual childcare plans are being followed adequately.
3) Confer with After All Program Coordinator regularly around concerns or questions pertaining to
a child’s condition or needs.
4) Confer with parents under direction of After All Program Coordinator.
5) Assure proper and complete documentation of all necessary paperwork (daily sheets,
anecdotal records, attendance, staff communication logs, etc.)
6) Keep the classroom in a clean and orderly fashion. Clean indoor and outdoor equipment
and supplies regularly; supervise program participants in Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
7) Supervise program participants during activities and in different environments and respond to their needs, making accommodations as necessary.
8) Have input to program coordinator in supervising and evaluating the assistant staff members.
Supervise, orient and guide substitutes and volunteers assigned to the program.
9) Attend planning sessions, staff meetings, parent/staff conferences and any other training or
meetings deemed necessary by the program coordinator.
10) Complete yearly at least six clock hours of approved continued training.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other related field plus one year of relevant experience; or High school diploma plus 90 clock hours (45 hours of Curriculum & 45 hours of Child Development) plus three years of relevant experience.
Must have a pre-employment medical exam and TB test.
$19.51 - $20.50 per hour, depending on education and experience.
