About the Role:

As Managing Director you will report to the Business Directors of Citco Governance Services (“CGS”) and will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of Citco Trustees (Cayman) Limited and related entities. This position will require five areas of focus: Financial, Operational, Staff Management, Risk and Corporate Governance and Client Relationship Management.

The Managing Director will ensure that appropriate financial controls, clear operational procedures and robust staff retention and succession planning strategies are in place, and will keep employees abreast of CGS related developments. The Managing Director will ensure that client service levels and regulatory requirements are met and that operational risk is minimized.


Job Duties in Brief:

  • Prepare and implement business plans and budgets;
  • Work closely with finance and the staff to ensure financial objectives are being prioritized as necessary and targets met;
  • Maintain cost and scalability to achieve a profitable cost to revenue ratio and ensure time writing targets are monitored and met;
  • Responsible for cost management and review of financial reporting;
  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives;
  • Set challenging, yet realistic performance expectations for the staff linked to CGS strategy;
  • Maintain & enhance existing client relationships;
  • Provide guidance, communication, and coaching as well as performance management to  staff as required to ensure  Citco objectives are met;
  • Generate new business whilst ensuring client integration and business continuity;
  • Ensure that service levels are maintained for all clients for which the office is responsible;
  • Ensure all internal risk management  and KYC/AML procedures are implemented and adhered to; and
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant reports to the CGS Divisional Team.


About You:

  • Accounting designation or Qualified as a lawyer in a Commonwealth Jurisdiction;
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar fiduciary business with at least 5 years at a senior level, with significant exposure to the financial side of the business;
  • Experienced in working with Finance to produce budgets, review monthly financial statements, implementing financial controls and reviewing financial targets on a  monthly basis;
  • Good familiarity with the range of corporate vehicles available in Cayman and strong corporate law knowledge with the ability to guide staff on corporate processes;
  • Familiarity with private client and commercial trusts a distinct advantage;
  • 10 years’ experience of managing qualified and senior staff;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • The ability to multitask;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
  • Well-developed leadership and delegation skills with an emphasis on empowering teams.
