Compensation: $18.52 - $23.46 - New hires will be placed at Step 1 through 9 dependent on prior contracted educational experience. JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for bookkeeping for the assigned high school including student body accounts, supply and postage purchases. Handles daily work pressures, requiring a volume of work which must be completed within a specified period of time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Follows and maintains knowledge of all applicable District policy(ies) and procedures.
- Enters deposits specifying name, amount and credited account.
- Accurately track and maintain accounts payable and receivable for student body and club activity funds.
- Processes purchase orders submitted by advisors and staff of various accounts for disbursement of funds.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts and submit to accounting manager.
- Maintain accurate and updated files.
- Settle student fee accounts including library fees, lockers, lab fees, etc.
- Maintain school accounts including fees, program accounts for staff (fundraising, fairs, etc.), sports, parking permits, including posting, writing checks, making deposits, preparing receipts and reporting.
- Prepare monthly reports for District office.
- Assist parents and students in resolving student account issues.
- Creates invoices for account receivables.
- Makes deposits into appropriate bank accounts.
- Complete computer data entry work, using District computer programs, to input a high volume of data with speed and accuracy, including confidential data, in an environment with constant interruptions.
- Corresponds effectively with vendors, maintains vendor contracts and reconciles all vendor statements.
- Provides accurate and timely information and reports.
- Reports budget discrepancies immediately to building principal.
- Prepares audit records in timely manner.
- Appropriately maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries.
- Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
- Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, administrators and parents/guardians and resolves conflict in a professional manner.
- Communicates clearly with coworkers and other staff.
- Dress professionally for the position.
- Provide impeccable customer service.
- Attends work daily as assigned and is punctual.
- Adheres to daily schedule.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
All new hires are required to be fingerprinted
Skills test may be required
