PROFILE OF A LIBERTY HILL EDUCATOR
Liberty Hill ISD Educators are compassionate leaders, effective collaborators, adaptable thinkers,
determined problem-solvers, and skilled communicators.
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of districtwide educator pipeline and
support programs, including new-to-profession teachers, mentoring, grow-your-own initiatives, and TEA
Reading & Math Academies. Support teacher effectiveness and retention by aligning program design,
training, and support systems with district goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification
● Valid Texas teaching certificate
● Master’s degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
● Knowledge of teacher development, mentoring, and retention best practices
● Ability to design, implement, and evaluate adult learning and support programs
● Strong understanding of instructional practices and classroom effectiveness
● Ability to analyze data to monitor program impact, including teacher retention and
performance trends
● Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
● Ability to coordinate multiple programs and initiatives simultaneously
Experience
● 5 years of successful teaching experience
● Demonstrated experience in teacher leadership, mentoring, or professional learning

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Program Development and Management
● Design, implement, and continuously improve district programs that support educator
development, including new-to-profession teachers, mentoring, grow-your-own initiatives,
and TEA Reading & Math Academies
● Coordinate program structures, timelines, and expectations to ensure consistent
implementation and alignment across campuses
● Develop and maintain systems, structures, and resources to support consistent
implementation and sustainability of educator development programs across campuses
● Collaborate with Human Resources and Teaching and Learning to align programs with
district staffing, instructional, and retention goals
Mentoring and New Teacher Support
● Oversee the district mentor program, including selection, training, and ongoing support of
mentors
● Coordinate onboarding and ongoing support for new-to-profession teachers, including
facilitating regular districtwide meetings to support development and connection
● Monitor and support campus mentor programs through regular communication and
check-ins with campus-based mentors, including facilitating districtwide meetings
● Ensure new teachers receive timely guidance, feedback, and access to district resources
while building campus capacity to support and develop new teachers
● Monitor program effectiveness and adjust supports based on feedback and outcomes
Grow Your Own and Pipeline Development
● Support the development and expansion of grow-your-own initiatives to build a sustainable
educator pipeline
● Partner with campuses, higher education institutions, and internal stakeholders to
strengthen recruitment and preparation pathways
● Coordinate program logistics, communication, and participant support
TEA Content Academies Program Development
● Coordinate, deliver, and support Reading and Math Academy training, including coaching
sessions, ensuring staff completion, compliance, and alignment with district expectations
● Collaborate with campus and district leaders to communicate expectations, monitor
progress, and provide support to ensure successful completion of required academies

Strategic Staffing and Residency Development
● Coordinate and manage all aspects of the district’s teacher residency program, including
recruitment, selection, onboarding, and ongoing support of residents
● Collaborate with campus leaders to align resident placements with district staffing needs
and strategic staffing models
● Partner with educator preparation programs (EPPs) and higher education institutions to
ensure program alignment and compliance
● Monitor and ensure compliance with all Texas Strategic Staffing (TSS) grant requirements,
timelines, and reporting expectations
● Track and analyze program data, including resident progress, certification status, retention
rates, and program effectiveness
● Serve as a liaison between Human Resources, Teaching & Learning, campus
administration, and external partners to ensure program coherence
● Support grant documentation, audits, and required submissions to TEA
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
