In this role, you will:
- Translate business requirements into scalable MuleSoft integration solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure integration solutions meet business needs.
- Define API strategies and design principles that align with business goals.
- Create reusable integration patterns and frameworks that support enterprise objectives.
- Provide guidance on emerging integration trends and recommend adoption strategies.
- Document high-level architecture, including data flows, system integrations, and API contracts, for business visibility.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to developers.
- Review technical requirements and ensure best practices are followed.
- Design, develop, and manage APIs (RAML definitions, API specifications).
- Develop and implement MuleSoft applications, connectors, and integration flows.
- Implement robust error-handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms.
- Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to maintain code quality and history.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft projects.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Ensure integration solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and reliability standards.
- Implement API security using OAuth, JWT, or other authorization schemes.
- Collaborate with security teams to validate integration flows against compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy MuleSoft applications to cloud or on-premise environments.
- Optimize performance of integration solutions to handle high throughput.
- Establish integration architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Work closely with enterprise architecture teams to ensure solutions fit within the broader IT ecosystem.
- Design multi-cloud or hybrid integration solutions.
- Create high-level architecture documentation for system integrations and API contracts.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and integration patterns to enhance the solution landscape.
- Ensure seamless integration between systems by working with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain clear communication with operations, security, and business teams.
- Lead integration teams, providing direction on design and development strategies.
- Travel up to 20% domestically to client locations for training sessions, client presentations, and project proposal finalization.
- Reports to Dayton OH & permits telecommuting from continental U.S.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in MuleSoft development and architectural design.
- 5 years of experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- 5 years of experience in integration development.
- 5 years of experience with API-led connectivity, RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Strong proficiency with Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, DataWeave, and visual modeling platform.
- Hands-on experience with SOA, microservice, integration design patterns, error handling strategies, performance tuning, and Monitoring & logging.
- Experience deploying integrations on CloudHub, on-premise, Hybrid and managing APIs securely (OAuth 2.0, TLS, and JWT).
- Proficiency in UML, RAML/OpenAPI, XML, JSON, and other data formats.
- Experience using MuleSoft connectors such as Salesforce, SFTP, or SNOW.
- Familiarity with Java, Sql server, DevOps tools - version control and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Git, or similar), Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer.
