Role Summary
- Responsibilities: This unique role offers you the opportunity to work collaboratively with us to design and conduct a global health-related project relevant to your community. We will share our skills and knowledge in evidence-based medicine, research design, and medical communication to support you in delivering the project to maximise its impact
- Salary: A pro-rated salary of £28,860 per annum

Costello Medical provides scientific support to the healthcare industry in the analysis, interpretation and communication of clinical and health economic data. Through both commercial and charitable projects, we are dedicated to the improvement of health and healthcare globally.
Our Global Health Internship offers LSHTM students from low- or middle-income countries the opportunity to gain skills in evidence-based medicine by working on a healthcare problem which is relevant to their community.
About the Role
This unique role offers you the opportunity to work collaboratively with us to design and conduct a global health-related project relevant to your community. We welcome project proposals relating to any of our service offerings, but examples of projects include:
- Conducting a systematic literature review to assess the effect of bereavement care for parents after stillbirth in Ghana
- Developing an educational toolkit to improve the management of newborn infections in low- and middle-income countries
- Assessing the cost-effectiveness of cervical cancer screening in Kenya
We will share our skills and knowledge in evidence-based medicine, research design, and medical communication. You will also have the opportunity to learn a range of technical skills relevant to your specific project approach.
