At CareAparent, we are looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who are compassionate, self-starters, and customer-service focused individuals who take pride in providing high-quality care. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, communicates professionally with clients and families, and can take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.00/hour 

 

Job Duties: 

  • Personal & Hygiene Care: provides hands-on assistance with personal and hygiene care support to seniors and disabled adults such as help with bathing, grooming, shaving, hair washing, hair brushing, dressing and skin care.   
  • Nutrition: provides meal planning and preparation, including planning and preparation for specialty diets. Provides medication reminders.  
  • Homemaking Care: provides support to seniors with their daily activities to be able to be comfortable at home.  Support includes but is not limited to meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping (such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, washing dishes, kitchen maintenance, etc.), personal laundry and linens, making the bed, organizing, picking up/taking out the garbage, and others at clients’ request.  
  • Companion & Respite Care: provides companionship to seniors for them to stay socially engaged at home and continue to visit friends, family, and other social events.  Leads and supports activities such as scrapbooking, board games, and other interests’ clients may have.  
  • Transportation: provides transportation of seniors to appointments; pick up prescription medications for clients; run errands and shop with or for clients.  
  • Safety and Supervision: Inform Operations Supervisor of emerging client problems or needs; Maintain a safe home environment in compliance with the home care program’s policies; provide companionship and protective supervision as needed; provide regular updates of client care to coordinators and managers. 
  • Documentation/Record Keeping: Documents and reports any changes in clients’ physical or mental statuses or major changes in clients’ home environments to the Clinical Manager, coordinators, and managers; comply with all policies and procedures; prepares time sheets, documents client notes, communicating via telephone and/or e-mail.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, car insurance 
  • Current Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification 

 

Work Schedule: 

The schedule for this caregiving position has an average of 20-40+ hours available per week. Client visits vary in length but are typically 2-4 hours within a 20-mile radius from your home in any direction. With a flexible schedule, you can decide the days and hours that you work. Weekend availability is not mandatory but there are shifts available, if you're looking to work weekends as well.
