Job Overview
To take financial ownership and accountability of MESL and MEMSV.
To become the expert in the financial regulations and process for the assigned region and be the main point of contact.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
General Accounting Tasks:
Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions, including entries in the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the financial records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Reconciliation:
Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, supplier accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Identify discrepancies and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting Assistance:
Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
Collaborate with the accounting manager to ensure accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
Assist in preparing tax returns and other compliance-related reports (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.).
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations.
Expense Monitoring:
Track and record expenses, ensuring that they are correctly categorized and in line with the company's budget.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Audit Support:
Help prepare documents and reports required for internal and external audits.
Collaborate with auditors to ensure all necessary financial information is available and accurate.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.
Assist in the implementation of accounting software upgrades and other process automation tools.
Support to Senior Accounting Team:
Assist the Accounting Manager with ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
Provide support in budget preparation and forecasting activities
Business Knowledge / Technical Skills:
1-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with local tax laws and regulations.
