Job Summary


The Sales Operations Intern is a dynamic, high-impact role at the center of the sales organization, responsible for driving revenue efficiency, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring a seamless customer experience across the entire sales cycle. This role blends customer service, inside sales, account management, sales operations, and sales enablement into one strategic position that directly supports business growth.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while improving processes, optimizing CRM systems (Zoho), and enhancing team performance. Acting as a key connector between sales, operations, and cross-functional teams, the Sales Operations Intern ensures leads are properly managed, accounts are well-supported, orders are accurately processed, and customers receive a consistent, high-quality experience throughout their journey.

This is a critical role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a measurable impact on sales performance, operational efficiency, and overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison between sales and internal teams (operations, finance, logistics, customer service) to ensure clear communication and alignment on customer needs and updates.  
  • Help support customer accounts by maintaining relationships, assisting with retention efforts, and identifying opportunities for additional sales
  •  Assist sales by conducting outbound calls, handling inbound inquiries, qualifying and routing leads, maintaining accurate CRM data, and assisting with pipeline progression and deal closure.
  • Maintain and improve CRM (Zoho) data integrity by ensuring accurate proper structure of leads, accounts, opportunities, and support reporting and workflow optimization. 
  • Assist with sales enablement and training by providing tools, resources, onboarding support, and helping reinforce best practices across the sales team. 
  • Conduct sales research and support strategic initiatives, including market analysis, competitive research, and data-driven recommendations to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Business Administration (including any specialty such as Marketing, Finance, Management, MIS or Operations), Communications, Economics, or other related business fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn CRM systems


Nice to Have

  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets 
  •  CRM or Ticketing system experience
