Specific Duties and Responsibilities
§ Assist in the management of specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts
§ Pace the crew to high levels of performance by understanding the importance of speed of service and resolve bottlenecks in workflow
§ Assist the GM and Assistant Manager(s) with training and coaching crew members to build a highly skilled and productive team
§ Ensure that the restaurant is meticulously organized and staffed
§ Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members
§ Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queen’s service recovery standards • Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and team members
§ Models performance standards for all team members and workstations
§ At all times exhibit a genuine passion for excellence
§ Perform other duties as assigned by management

§ Must be capable of supervising specific areas of the business in a fast-paced environment
§ Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices
§ Must be ServSafe® certifiable
Summary
Summary of Position
In coordination with General and Assistant Managers, provide leadership and guidance to hourly staff in specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts. A Shift Leader must be able to perform all job functions of each crew position, including customer service, product preparation, cash accountability, drive-thru and back-line food preparation.
