Job Description

Join the Movement: We Need a Storyteller!

Are you a bridge-builder, a myth-buster, and a community-connector rolled into one? At Mosaic, we don’t just offer "real life and real possibilities" —we create them. We are looking for a Public Relations Specialist to join our Central Iowa crew and help us relentlessly pursue opportunities that empower people.

If you have grit, a heart for belonging, and the communication chops to make some noise for a great cause, we want to meet you.

The Gig in a Nutshell

You aren't just "doing PR." You are the architect of awareness. Your mission is to develop and execute a comprehensive plan that gets the community talking, volunteering, and giving back to ensure the people we support have a powerful voice.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

  • Plan & Execute: You’ll be the brains behind our community relations strategy to boost local awareness.
  • Throw Great Events: Develop activities that turn strangers into donors, volunteers, and advocates.
  • Lead the Squad: Recruit and manage our community advisory committee and volunteer teams.
  • Network Like a Pro: Build bridges with local media, foundations, and faith communities.
  • Collaborate: Partner with our Mission Advancement team to create killer print and digital content.
  • Data Wizardry: Keep our contact lists sharp using Raiser's Edge.

SCHEDULE: Days, 40hr/week, other hours (evenings & weekends) as needed for events and networking.

Commitment to Mosaic Values:

At Mosaic, we believe in creating a workplace where everyone has the chance to contribute and succeed. This commitment is not just a policy, it's the way we work. It's good for the workforce, it's good for Mosaic, and it's the right thing to do.
