Job Description

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Lead Security Deposit Specialist within our ALE Solutions division. This position falls under our lodging line of business and is located in St. Charles, IL. In this role, you will contribute to the department’s efficiency by maintaining accuracy throughout claim files and working on behalf of the policyholder to resolve disputes and damage claims. Manage tasks and consistency across all files to ensure a correct financial total at the end of the placement.

How We Work

As a Lead Security Deposit Specialist, you will be expected to work in an office/hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Maintaining a daily tracking log of file assignments using ACT tasks.
  • Recording detailed notes of verbal and written correspondence (documenting names/phone numbers of conversations held) in ACT database.
  • Maintaining electronic and paper files to ensure status accuracy.
  • Collecting security deposits from landlords immediately following move out.
  • Dispersing deposit refunds for property and furniture to insured or insurance companies.
  • Assisting insureds as needed in disputing deductions with the landlord.
  • Auditing files to verify billing and payments were issued correctly.
  • Working to resolve any billing issues and collect back landlord overpayments as need.
  • Issuing billing credits or balance reductions as needed based on adjuster requests.
  • Notifying insureds of charges for damages to rental furniture and assist on disputing charges for insured.
  • Collecting unpaid balances or furniture damages over deposit held from insured as needed.
  • Assisting in resolving complex security deposit issues that require management involvement.
  • Accurately and consistently reporting to supervisor of file issues, overdue collections, outstanding security deposits and customer complaints.
  • Issuing account credits for adjuster overpayments and early housing move outs.
  • Assisting supervisor in scheduling and managing training for new hires in the deposit team and additional training for team members as needed. Update the Training Manual as needed.
  • Maintaining furniture damage tracking log
  • Providing back up support to Security Deposit Supervisor.
  • Serving as a rotating on call point of contact for weekend manager calls.
  • Not limited to above, assists when necessary on the day to day security deposit process.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of job-related experience preferred
  • Property Management experience is a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • ACT program experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, very organized, have strong problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and be a team player.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical skills for this position
  • Exhibits strong business acumen and sound judgment
  • Ability to mentor coworkers
  • Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships among team members in the course of work
  • Ability to assist coworkers with tasks
