Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Manages the Facilities Management team responsible for the operations and maintenance of all properties owned and operated by American Savings Bank.

Major Job Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for managing the operations, maintenance, repairs and construction of all facilities and operated by American Savings Bank.  
  • Manages the Facilities Management team in its daily operations and projects. 
  • Develops and implements a strategic plan as it relates to the operation and maintenance of facilities and manages building renovations and space allocation.
  • Develops and manages operating budget for facilities costs.  
  • Collaborates with the Retail team regarding facilities projects as it relates to branch initiatives.
  • Responsible for managing facilities access permissions including badge access, alarm permissions, and monitoring.
  • Responsible for negotiating contracts and vendors related to facilities projects, operations and maintenance.
  • Prepares plans, standards, and specifications for building and equipment maintenance, repair, and inspection.


Job Qualifications:

  • Ten (10) years experience in vendor and relationship management
  • Ten (10) years in project management or facilities/property management preferred
  • Ten (10) years supervisory experience

Skills or Training:

  • Able to manage multiple vendors, understand agreements and hold accountable. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles as they pertain to budgeting.
  • Must be able to apply logic to identify, analyze and resolve problems effectively.
  • Able to comprehend detailed technical blueprints and construction specifications.
  • Able to interpret data applicable to contract development and claims settlement.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to:
    • Consult with senior management and department managers on matters relating to their areas of responsibility.
    • Negotiate and consult with service vendors, architects, engineers, contractors, and others in related fields.
  • Must be organized and able to meet multiple priorities and project due dates.
