Duties
Leads and oversees daily warehouse and transportation operations, ensuring efficient movement, storage, and distribution of personal effects, vehicles, and supplies supporting global missions.,Provides expert logistics guidance, conducts program analysis, evaluates systems and processes, and develops recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance operations.,Serves as COR and logistics program manager, overseeing contractor performance, ensuring compliance, managing logistics systems, and supporting acquisition and operational requirements.,Represents the organization in interagency and industry engagements, negotiates logistics solutions, and establishes partnerships to support mission requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement. NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement. Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods to assess logistics programs, identify trends, and implement system or process improvements that enhance transportation operations, reporting capabilities, and cost effectiveness. Experience providing expert technical advice and recommendations to leadership on logistics operations, including freight trends, equipment requirements, and long-range program planning to support mission objectives. Experience representing an organization in interagency or external engagements, negotiating with commercial carriers or stakeholders, and resolving complex logistics or transportation issues. Experience leading and overseeing complex logistics operations, including directing contractor teams, establishing priorities, and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of personal effects, vehicles, and supplies in support of global operations. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
