Job Description

McCall Middle School is seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to interpret a wide range of cognitive and academic assessments and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills to support student success.


 


Key Qualifications and Responsibilities:




  • Expertise in using a variety of tools and approaches to help students, families, and teachers address factors that impact learning




  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators and service providers to meet individual student needs




  • Experience writing IEP goals and benchmarks, preparing progress reports, and contributing meaningfully during IEP meetings




  • Appreciation for and ability to work with students from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds




 

Primary Duties May Include:




  • Conducting psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive abilities, attention, memory, social-emotional functioning, and behavior




  • Writing comprehensive reports summarizing assessment results for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and additional testing as needed




  • Providing counseling services as outlined in students’ IEPs




  • Participating in special education Team meetings and school-based mental health or counseling teams




  • Consulting with school staff, including administrators, related service providers, general educators, and special educators




  • Facilitating counseling groups focused on social skills, friendship, and related areas




Additional Responsibilities:




  • Attending department and team meetings




  • Actively participating in professional development




  • Collaborating with colleagues to support a positive and effective school community




Qualifications:



Candidates must hold the appropriate School Psychologist license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

Depending on degree/experience BA-MA/Doc:  $59, 823-$127,728
