Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Client Services and Sample Logistics Technician to oversee the administrative and client-facing operations that support our laboratory. This individual will manage key backend processes, interface directly with clients, and ensure smooth day-to-day administrative workflow. This individual will be responsible for receiving samples submitted by clients and entering information into our database, ensuring lab staff has the proper information to start analyses, and following well-established protocols to maintain traceability.


Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact by phone and email for client communication and support, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

Invoicing & Month-End Close
Oversee client invoicing, ensure billing accuracy, and provide reports to management as directed.

Reporting
Prepare, analyze, and distribute internal and client-facing reports as needed.

Operational Support
Provide lab staff with key information from clients to support sample throughput.

Human Resources Support
Opportunity to assist or assume responsibilities related to HR administration, depending on skills and interest.

Laboratory Support
Perform basic laboratory support tasks (aliquoting, labeling, storage) under established SOPs, including preparation of samples for analysis and running routine quality checks (reagent inventory, balance verification, etc.). Accurately document results in laboratory logs or electronic systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field. Candidates with STEM degrees will be considered, provided they possess relevant office management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in administrative operations, client services, or a similar role.
  • Basic laboratory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Skills

  • Experience in a client-facing role or account management capacity.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HR processes or willingness to grow into HR responsibilities.
