Job Summary
Provides service related functional expertise and skills to support all business units within the Purchasing/Inventory Management realm. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish corporate goals with wide degree of creativity and latitude. Works independently and requires minimal guidance. Works closely with Purchasing Management, Regional Managers and Director of Supply Chain.
Essential Duties/Accountabilities
- Manage ERP and Demand Planning Software
- Working with Line of Business leaders, vendors and historical data to develop the best statistical forecast. Implementing S&OP at the product family level and creating separation between skus that require a base statistical resupply model and those that require more manual input.
- Manage vendor performance relevant to line(s) of business. Lead Time, Delivery accuracy, percentage of delivery on first receipt, freight, order pack quantity, transfer pack quantity, AP/PO variance.
- Optimize the balance of system data, forecasting, lead time and other demand drivers to assure inventory is aligned with demand.
- Provide input and resupply models to buyers to build purchase patterns, supply & resupply methods and monitor line performance.
- Inventory Optimization and SKU Rationalization. Analyzing cost and demand needs to provide profitable inventory assortment
- Redistribution management. Managing good inventory in wrong locations and identifying if relocation is most profitable method of close out.
