    Description:  School District 62 is looking for Seasonal Buildings and Grounds staff starting June 2 through August 8, 2025. 16 year old and over applicants are welcome to apply.

    Job Summary:  During the summer, specific room cleaning assignments and other daily routine work are shown on a work schedule which is designed specifically for each position in each building.  In addition to the regular work assignments the seasonal buildings and grounds staff is responsible for completing other maintenance work that is assigned by the Head Custodian, the Building Principal or the Director of Operations and Maintenance.  M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; rate of pay is $18.50 per hour

    Qualifications: 

    • Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively in oral and written English.
    • Lifting (up to eighty pounds).
    • Valid Driver License

    Working Conditions:  District 62 has approximately 4,800 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 year-around, K-8 school.   Hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
