Job Overview 综述:

The selected candidate will lead the process of various innovation initiatives, including new product development, support level opportunities, complex business cases for Celanese Engineered material business.

 

In this role, the Project Manager will partner with cross‑functional team members to ensure each project moves efficiently from initiation through completion. Responsibilities include delivering timely progress updates, proactively identifying potential risks, and escalating issues that require leadership attention. This position is part of a dynamic, flexible, and results‑driven global team focused on achieving business growth through commercializing innovation projects and supporting the overall company goal.

Responsibilities 职责:

• The Asia project manager role Manage EM projects including New Product Development, Support Opportunities, Business Cases with Asia focus, and/or other key strategic responsibilities assigned by regional PMO leader (Segment Plan Support, Special Projects, PM Champion, cross regional/functional initiatives).
• Defines/Refines the scope of project, timeline, key milestones, and budget
• Identifies and deploys resources required to successfully execute project through the lifecycle with desired velocity
• Monitors project plan by reviewing design, specifications and schedule (review with supervisor if necessary)
• Manages project costs & approvals for spend
• Resolves or escalates issues that might put project deliverables at risk
• Coordinates across functions to create launch packages, enabling the commercial team to meet translation plan
• Coordinates and executes training for product launch
• Push launches to meet pipeline expectation plan
• Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
• Participates in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
• Effective Communication managing expectations of key stakeholders, enable decision making and maintains full life cycle of project with regular reviews

Qualifications 要求:

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or above in Chemistry, ChemE, MechE or Materials Science, project management
• Minimum 5 years of experience

• • Experience in the areas of Engineered Thermoplastics, Engineering, Chemistry, Polymers, Business Management, and or Project Management, Commercial a plus.
  • Project Management, R&D, Production Engineering, Quality, Product Stewardship, or Sales experience a plus
  • Polymers – Medical (Device/Equipment), E&E, Consumer/Industrial, Automotive experience a plus

• Language: Fluent Mandarin & English, Japanese is a plus
• PMP Certification a plus
• Can influence, engage and motivate resources through indirect leadership
• Good project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good communication skills, Good Interpersonal Skills (Active listening/ Empathy/ Cooperative, etc)
