Test Engineer - HPNT

Summary
T2S Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to support the development and validation of complex space and ground system architectures, including satellite platforms, payloads, communications systems, and mission operations tools. This role is key to ensuring system performance, reliability, and mission readiness across rapid development cycles. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience with aerospace/space system testing, strong analytical capability, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute test campaigns for spacecraft, payloads, subsystems, and ground segment components
  • Create test plans, procedures, and reports that align with requirements and mission objectives
  • Support environmental and functional testing, including thermal vacuum (TVAC), vibration, EMI/EMC, propulsion, power, and communications testing as applicable
  • Design and implement test setups, fixtures, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy of test execution
  • Work closely with systems, hardware, software, and operations teams to define test coverage and ensure end-to-end verification
  • Perform integration testing across space-to-ground interfaces, command and telemetry systems, networking, and mission operations workflows
  • Analyze test data, identify anomalies, conduct root-cause investigation, and support corrective action efforts
  • Participate in major technical reviews (e.g., TRR, TVAC readiness, launch readiness)
  • Support mission operations testing, including rehearsals, simulations, and on-orbit validation
  • Maintain test equipment, configuration, documentation, and compliance with relevant standards

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of hands-on test engineering experience in space systems, aerospace, or similar high-reliability environments
  • Experience with system and subsystem testing, including environmental and functional test campaigns
  • Proficiency with test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and diagnostic tools
  • Strong understanding of verification and validation (V&V) processes for mission-critical systems
  • Experience analyzing test results and conducting root-cause investigations
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with requirements management tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with satellite test programs, payload test labs, or flat-sat/iron-bird environments
  • Background in automated test systems, scripting (Python, MATLAB, etc.), or hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Familiarity with RF testing, link analysis tools, or data transport verification
  • Experience with MBSE, digital twins, or system modeling environments
  • Knowledge of launch vehicle integration or mission readiness testing
