Job Description
The Quality Manager will oversee all aspects of quality assurance for fabricated products, including leading inspections onsite and at subcontractor facilities, managing the quality team and QMS, and ensuring strict compliance with project specifications and contract requirements. This role is responsible for setting and monitoring quality standards, preparing reports, maintaining inspection and testing records, and evaluating quality practices for effectiveness and efficiency. The manager will provide technical expertise across all project phases, address non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective actions, and foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Additional duties include developing and delivering training on quality procedures, interpreting drawings and specifications, and utilizing software such as Microsoft Office and Procore. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, possess at least five years in a quality management role, and hold AWS CWI certification; ASNT NDT Level II/III certification and USACE project experience are strongly preferred. This position requires travel, physical capability for site inspections, and strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities                
                 

·        Lead quality inspections of fabricated products onsite and at
subcontractor locations

·        Manage the quality team and quality management system

·        Set and monitor quality standards based on project specs and
fabrication processes

·        Ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications

·        Prepare quality and progress reports; maintain inspection and testing
records

·        Monitor quality practices for effectiveness, cost, and productivity

·        Provide expertise during bidding, construction, and post-construction
phases

·        Identify non-conformities, investigate root causes, and ensure
corrective actions

·        Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers

·        Develop and deliver training on quality standards and procedures

·        Travel as needed for site visits, meetings, and training

Skills and Abilities

·        Problem solving and decision-making skills; attention to detail a must

·        Strong organizational and time management skills

·        Effective written and verbal communication skills; including effective
listening skills

·        Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

·        Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and
Excel, and Procore.



Requirements


Education/Experience           
    

·        Bachelor’s degree or related field experience required

·        Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager required

·        AWS D1.5/D1.5M experience, working for USACE or similar projects
preferred

·        Extensive Knowledge and expertise in nondestructive testing (NDT)
required

·        American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) NDT Level II or III
preferred

·        American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
required


Physical Demands

·        Travel will be required to attend training and meeting

·        Ability to sit or stand for entire shift

·        Occasionally requited to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb

·        Ability to lift, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds

·        Ability to speak, write, and understand English clearly
