Cleans School facilities to provide an impeccable safe, clean, and healthy work / learning environment. Assists with other facilities maintenance requirements as necessary
General Responsibilities
• Sweep, mop, scrub, polish, and vacuum floors, hallways, stairs, classrooms, and offices.
• Clean light fixtures, ceilings, and vents, wall, furniture, windows, and window coverings.
• Clean restrooms and restock paper and soap supplies.
• Inform Supervisor when routine maintenance and service is need on custodial equipment for function and safety
concerns.
• Empty trash receptacles, clean containers as required, and bag trash for proper disposal.
• Shampoo and clean carpets and buff and polish floors which will require the use of mechanical equipment.
• May be required to drive a golf cart or other School vehicles.
• Perform set-up and break-down for a variety of School events. Move furniture and other items, set-up tables, chairs,
table clothes, coolers, etc. unassisted, if required.
• Lock doors after cleaning areas.
• Must adhere to work schedule and attendance requirements as assigned by Supervisor.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of
workplace safety and environmental practices.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
