Job Description

JOB TITLE:            Rock Crusher Technician                  
DEPARTMENT:     Mine operations 
LOCATION:            Robinson Mine - Ruth, NV
PAY GRADE:          N/A    
POSITION REPORTS TO: Mine Operations Senior Shift Supervisor         
ROTATING SHIFT: Yes ☒   
NONEXEMPT ☒          

 

Purpose & Scope of The Position:  

Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Robinson mobile crushing units within an active mining environment, while ensuring 100% compliance with Robinson safety and environmental standards. Execute meticulous pre-operational inspections and preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime. Effectively operate heavy equipment around other equipment, balancing high-volume production while maintaining a strong commitment to the company’s core values and safety standards.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Operate and maintain mobile rock crusher 
  • Shovel Cable and Dewatering cable management.
  • Meet safety, environmental, attendance, and performance standards. 
  • Manage flows and water levels in the pit as needed.
  • Assistance with building, repairing, and maintaining pipelines in and out of the pit.
  • Service and repair both electric pumps.  
  • Effective operating skills with cable realer, dozer, wheel loader, and track hoe.
  • Building and grounds maintenance including comfort stations.
  • Works effectively in a team and alone.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.  
  • Positive attitude and safe work habits.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with ever-changing conditions.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance required.
  • Planning work efficiently with or without a team.  
  • Safety improvements.
  • Process efficiency to maximize production.
  • Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

 

Required Education, Work Experience & Training:

  • A valid Driver’s License. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:

  • Previous rock crusher operation and maintenance experience.
  • Previous heavy equipment experience.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • General understanding of mechanical functions.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operation including Microsoft Excel.

  • N/A


Additional Requirements: 

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or greater than 50 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 20 pounds of force constantly.
