Ore City ISD – Special Programs
Ore City ISD is seeking a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) to provide intensive dyslexia intervention using the Take Flight curriculum developed by the Scottish Rite for Children. This position supports students across campuses and plays a key role in strengthening literacy outcomes within our MTSS framework in alignment with guidance from the Texas Education Agency.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide small-group, structured literacy intervention using Take Flight with fidelity
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Participate in ARD, 504, and MTSS meetings
Support early identification and data-driven decision making
Collaborate with teachers to reinforce structured literacy practices
Communicate student progress with families
Qualifications
Master’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate
Current CALT certification through the Academic Language Therapy Association
Completed Take Flight training
Knowledge of dyslexia, structured literacy, and MTSS processes
