Job Description

$25/hour + $3 shift premium = $28/hour starting pay (minimum)
Monday–Thursday | 3:00pm–1:00am | Overtime Available
Union, OH – Near Dayton, Troy, Englewood & Vandalia

United Alloy is hiring an experienced MIG Welder for heavy tank and structural fabrication at our Union, Ohio (Dayton area) facility. If you take pride in clean welds, strong tanks, and doing it right the first time — we want to talk to you.

No travel. Home every night. Full-time manufacturing role.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and run 1–2 weld work centers independently
  • MIG weld large fabricated tank components using fixtures
  • Read blueprints and interpret welding symbols
  • Perform tank leak tests and first articles (PPAP)
  • Inspect your own welds to meet AWS D1.1 and customer quality standards
  • Maintain welding machines, wire, and gas
  • Maintain 95%+ efficiency and strong quality performance
  • Support continuous improvement and mentor teammates

What You Bring

  • Metal fabrication / manufacturing welding experience
  • Ability to pass an AWS D1.1 weld test
  • Blueprint reading and weld symbol knowledge
  • Experience with overhead cranes, measuring tools, and hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (100 lbs with assist)
