Job Description

Position Summary: 

JCCA’s Behavioral Health and Wellness division is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our Bronx Counseling Center (BCC) team on a part-time basis. The BCC provides high-quality mental health services to children and youth (ages 0–21) and their families. Our services include individual and family therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, and referrals to community providers. Care is delivered both in-person and via telehealth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication assessments
  • Provide medication administration and monitoring
  • Coordinate care with external psychiatric and healthcare providers
  • Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families
  • Maintain consistent documentation and communication with the clinical team
  • Participate in team meetings and receive monthly supervision from a psychiatrist (minimum 4 hours/month)
  • Ensure compliance with OMH Part 599 regulations

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • 1–2 years of experience working with children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric disorders
  • Familiarity with families with complex, multi-system needs and experience in crisis settings
  • Strong documentation and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and federal healthcare guidelines
  • Background in Evidence-Based Practices and Models
  • Strong understanding of Social Determinants of Health, Race Equity, Social Justice, and Trauma-Informed Care
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and clinical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) highly preferred

Hourly Rate: $150.00
