Experience working with students with disabilities in an educational setting
Experience working with children ages 0-3 preferred
Conduct observations, review data, analyze data, and establish documents for reporting
Support the social, emotional, and educational environment for all students
Conduct extensive psychological evaluations and re-evaluations for students suspected of, or having, a disability according to MARSE
Interpret psychological data with Multi-Disciplinary teams, Individual Education Planning teams, teachers, professionals, and parents
Display outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Independently and accurately implement the requirements of the IDEA & Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education
Effectively work on a team, facilitate and lead meetings
Display outstanding evaluation/diagnostic skills particularly in the area of learning, as it relates to 13 eligibility areas
Grosse Pointe’s Early On program provides evaluations and services to children ages 0-3 in Grosse Pointe, Hamtramck, Harper Woods and Highland Park.
Early On is a year round program. This position follows a year round calendar.
Service for students and their families are provided in their natural environment- home and community settings.

QUALIFICATIONS
A person employed as a school psychologist in a Michigan school is required to hold a valid Michigan School Psychologist Certificate or a Preliminary School Psychologist Certificate.
