Job Description

Number of Position(s): 1
Duration: 4 Months
Date: Sept 8th to Dec 18th, 2026
Location: On-site, Ottawa, ON.

We are looking for an engineering student who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team within a multidisciplinary and culturally diverse environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, and approaches challenges with curiosity and innovative thinking. They are able to learn quickly, adapt to new concepts and tools, and apply their knowledge in practical settings. Additionally, this individual can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, handle concurrent tasks with organization and focus, and make thoughtful, timely decisions when addressing issues.

 

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:
 

  • Review production test data and optimize product test applications (reduce test durations, reduce cost of test, enhance product quality)

  • Support developing new test applications for products entering manufacturing and products being tested at Nokia’s customer Repair Center.

  • Help develop test sequences using National Instruments TestStand, Python, and LabWindows CVI tools.

  • Help develop web-based product debug guides for production and repair center test personnel.
     

Qualifications

  • Completed 3rd year of University degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering or  2nd year of Technologist Diploma program with an accredited school in Canada.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Working knowledge of Python and C.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments TestStand and CVI environments is an asset.
  • Ability to read product schematics and perform digital circuit analysis.
  • Ability to analyze hardware failures and production data to identify trends and support troubleshooting.
  • Experience using standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and traffic generators for production testing and debugging.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Familiarity with IP and other telecom technologies.

  • Familiarity with HTML editors like Dreamweaver or related web development tools
