We are currently looking for a Full Time HVAC Unlimited Journeyman to join our HVAC Unit 3 team located at the Chickasaw Laundry Service working .
Summary:
This position journeyman installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems with a high level of independence. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and installing ductwork and systems in residential and commercial settings. A journeyman typically needs an EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver's license, and experience gained from an apprenticeship.
Responsibilities:
* Performs the repair and maintenance of building infrastructure systems (excludes major original equipment manufacturer tear down maintenance)
* Answer and assist with service calls as assigned
* Install and maintain ice machines, multi-boxes and walk-in coolers
* Provide mileage totals at end of month for monthly report
* Completes and submits all logs, reports and required paperwork to line of support
* Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, registers, and associated equipment, in new construction or as part of a replacement project
* Perform regular preventive maintenance on systems to ensure efficient operation and extend their lifespan, such as lubricating motors, cleaning equipment, and checking water quality in boilers
* Diagnose and repair malfunctioning heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, which may include fixing boilers, pumps, and other components
* Recommend and implement upgrades to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality, such as installing smart thermostats or air purification systems
* Respond to emergency maintenance requests from HVAC Line of Support as required
* Complete all issued work orders in timely manner while providing detailed information as required to Line of Support and Work Order Management system
* Perform tests and analyze data to ensure the proper functioning of all assigned equipment
* Comply with all written and verbal instructions from supervisors to protect the critical load and preserve the uninterrupted availability of the site infrastructure
* Capable of servicing all refrigeration equipment and air conditioning up to 1000 Tons industrial Centravac chillers
* Operating, maintaining, repairing and installing piping, pumps, valves, boilers, compressors and other mechanical systems, equipment and automatic controls
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
