Job Summary:
The Laboratory Technician (Pharmacy) will support pharmaceutical laboratory operations by assisting in testing, analysis, documentation, and maintenance of laboratory standards. The role requires adherence to regulatory guidelines, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine pharmaceutical laboratory tests and analyses as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist in sample preparation, chemical analysis, and quality testing of pharmaceutical products.
Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and ensure proper calibration.
Record, analyze, and document test results accurately.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
Support senior pharmacists and analysts in research and quality control activities.
Handle chemicals, reagents, and samples following safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical laboratory practices and procedures.
Knowledge of quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
Educational Qualification:
B. Pharm or D. Pharm in the relevant branch with First Class or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Professional Certifications:
Mandatory registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Professional Experience:
Minimum 01 years of experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory or in a similar relevant role.
Skills and Competencies:
Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical laboratory techniques.
Familiarity with GLP and basic GMP principles.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
