The Pleasant Hill School District is currently seeking applicants for the position of:
High School eSports Coach for 26-27

Deadline for Application: Until Filled

The successful candidate will: 

• Present and maintain a high level of professionalism as an educational leader and coach while demonstrating an exemplary level of integrity within the eSports program.
• Provide a time for interested students to congregate, practice, and compete in eSports outside of normal school hours
• Hold no less than 2-3 practices in a full school week in both the fall and spring semester leading up to competitions. A minimum of 2 practices per week once the competition season begins. (Competition seasons run 8 weeks in length)
• Be proficient in methods of organization when working with students, staff, and parents.
• Be an educator within the Pleasant Hill School District - preferred
• Demonstrate considerable experience or the ability to maintain a successful program
• Maintain high expectations of student athletes when representing Pleasant Hill High School in competition
• Work with MOSEF to understand rules and requirements of eSports teams.
• Have a passion for improving student purpose and performance both in the classroom and in the virtual gaming environment.

Duties:

• Leading students within the eSports program
• Be able to effectively communicate expectations and guidelines for students
• Work with MOSEF to plan, organize, and operate scheduled events
• Able to attend all scheduled events for the eSports team.

Length of contract: 2026-2027 School Year - eSports has a Fall and Spring season
