    TITLE:    Food Services, Part-Time Permanent

    POSITION SUMMARY:      

    Camdenton School District is seeking a person to prepare and serve nutritious breakfasts and lunches to high school students and staff, following USDA child nutrition regulations and standardized recipes.

    QUALIFICATIONS:    

    • High School graduate and School Nutrition Association certification preferred.
    • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Good health, free from any communicable disease, and clean in personal habits and dress.
    • Previous experience in food service or commercial cooking.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • School Nutrition Association certification.
       

    REPORTS  TO:  High School Kitchen Manager, and Food Services Director

    GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Faculty / Support Staff Expectations 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepares large quantities of food (meat, vegetables, desserts, sandwiches) while following recipes, food handling, and portion control guidelines.
    • Ensures all food is stored, cooked, and served at correct temperatures to maintain safety. Cleans work areas, utensils, and large kitchen equipment, including refrigerators and storage areas.
    • Serves students and staff during meal times, often managing cash registers or serving lines.
    • Stocks inventory, receives deliveries, and reports on ingredient needs.
    • Follows school district menus and accommodates specific dietary needs or restrictions. 
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations (such as HACCP) and proper cooking techniques.

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:    

    • Scheduled Work Days:  178 days; 4.0 hrs / day. Does not include a 30 minute lunch.
    • Pay range:  $15.35
