Job Description

Position Summary:

The QC Technician inspects products throughout the fabrication process and identifies non-conforming material and parts to ensure finished product meets or exceeds customer specifications. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.   

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Internal Relationships: All Departments

External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize proper measurement equipment to inspect products produced and determine conformance to specifications.
  • Preparation and submission of part inspection reports.
  • Assist in ensuring plant audit procedures are properly carried out and assigned work schedules are maintained.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance audits to ensure company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.
  • Prepare plant audit reports and submit them to Quality Manager.
  • Assist in the resolution of quality problems required.
  • Evaluate and take corrective action, when necessary, with regard to product date coding and trade age management at all levels of product movement.
  • Educate and instruct production personnel in recommended quality control testing and assist in confirming these procedures are being maintained.
  • Operate and program a coordinate measuring machine.
  • Other duties as assigned.
