Job Description
Project Manager, Sweden Make the most of your energy in a career at Schneider Electric! Schneider Electric is a global specialist in energy management and automation. We are passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that make energy safe, reliable, efficient, productive, and green. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our world‑class delivery organization within Northern Europe. The role is based in Sweden, serving customers primarily across Scandinavia, with a strong focus on industrial automation solutions. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for customer-facing automation projects, leading distributed and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will play a key role in managing scope, change, risk, and customer expectations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards of customer satisfaction. Projects are often executed in remote or hybrid delivery models, requiring strong leadership without direct physical proximity. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end industrial automation projects, acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Act as the primary customer contact, building trusted relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Own project change management, including impact analysis on scope, schedule, cost, and resources, and ensure customer alignment on agreed changes. Identify, assess, and quantify project risks, defining and executing effective mitigation plans. Coordinate cross-functional and often remote teams (engineering, production, testing, procurement, quality) to ensure efficient and controlled project execution. Monitor project performance using relevant KPIs, proactively addressing deviations rather than only escalating them. Ensure governance, delivery quality, and financial performance are aligned with Schneider Electric standards. Desired Skills and Experience 6+ years of project management experience, preferably within industrial automation or related engineering environments. Proven experience delivering customer-facing projects, with full ownership of scope, schedule, and delivery commitments. Demonstrated ability to manage change and risk in complex project environments. Experience leading remote or geographically distributed teams. Technical degree (Engineering or related field) or equivalent practical experience. Strong commercial awareness and accountability for project outcomes. Fluent in English and Swedish. Project management certification is a plus. Experience with industrial automation platforms, such as PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES, or Schneider Electric solutions, is an advantage. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with the confidence to engage directly with customers and take ownership of delivery challenges. We are looking for someone who values quality of execution over project size, demonstrates resilience and flexibility, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. What We Offer We offer a stimulating and supportive work environment where you will play a meaningful role in our growth journey. You will be part of a leading international company recognized for its sustainability ambition, innovation, and people-first culture.
