Job Description

Our Consumer and Construction Products segment is made up of our packaged and bulk concrete and concrete repair products for construction professionals and homeowners.

We are looking for an TOWER OPERATOR to join our Brigham City, UT plant. As an Equipment Operator with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will support daily operations at our plant facility by operating equipment and performing general plant tasks.

About the Role 


Responsibilities:



  • Follow safety rules, regulations and procedures set forth by MSHA and Quikrete Material policies. 

  • Safely perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections, complete daily equipment reports/plant inspections and report unsafe equipment/conditions to supervisor or foreman immediately.  

  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and productively operate equipment at all times as assigned. 

  • Must be able or willing to learn to operate other heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, skid steer, haul truck, excavator, dozer, motor grader, water truck and loader.  

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on plants and equipment. 

  • Assist site personnel with plant repairs when needed. Perform preventative maintenance. 

  • Cross train on other positions in the plant in order to serve as a relief to other operators. 

  • Demonstrates a positive, upbeat attitude and energy level and works as a team player. 

  • Assist with upkeep and greasing all bearings in the plant. 

  • Ability to work in a confined area with other heavy equipment and ground personnel while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards of operation  

  • Complete all production reporting in a timely and accurate manner

  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned. 


About You


We Require:



  • General knowledge of working around large aggregate mines, and equipment

  • Candidates must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements, some noise; must have ability to work independently and problem-solve while working alone or as part of a team

  • MSHA certification is preferred

  • Great attention to detail and have a high stress tolerance
