Job Title: Supportive Program Specialist
Organization: Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities (BCACHA)
Type: Full-Time, in-office; four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Thursday)
Location: 1001 S. Orchard St., Boise, Idaho 83705
Reports To: Supportive Program Supervisor
Salary: Starting at $50,416
Position Overview
Boise City / Ada County Housing Authority is seeking a full-time Supportive Housing Representative. This position focuses on administering supportive housing programs by processing eligibility, coordinating housing placement, and maintaining compliance with program requirements.
This is not a case management role. Instead, the position works alongside case managers and service providers to support housing stability for program participants.
The populations served include individuals and families who are chronically homeless, living with severe mental illness or substance use disorders, veterans, and survivors of domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities
• Process applications and determine program eligibility
• Collect, verify, and document income and household information
• Conduct intake and briefing appointments with applicants
• Maintain accurate and compliant participant files
• Assist participants with housing search and placement
• Negotiate rents and calculate housing assistance payments
• Prepare and execute contracts, leases, and program documents
• Monitor program compliance and investigate potential fraud
• Ensure adherence to HUD and program regulations
• Perform data entry, tracking, and reporting
• Respond to inquiries from participants, landlords, and the public
• Address landlord-tenant concerns and disputes
• Coordinate with case managers and community partners to support housing stability
Minimum Qualifications
• Coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, human services, or a related field
• Six months of related experience in housing, social services, or program administration
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Experience with HMIS (Homeless Management Information System)
• Familiarity with HUD income and rent calculations
Additional Requirements
• Valid Idaho driver’s license

• Travel may be required for meetings, training, or conferences
