Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range:  Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7)



Department/Organization: 750401 - Alabama Transportation Institute



Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Education Outreach Coordinator develops, manages, and implements quality educational programs for students, families, and adult audiences.



Additional Department Summary: Assists in developing and delivering K–12 STEM programs focused on transportation and related fields. Coordinating hands-on activities, curriculum development, and community engagement. Assists with program logistics, grant support, and outreach communications to enhance the impact and visibility of the Alabama Transportation Institute's (ATI) educational initiatives.



Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of educational work experience; OR Master's degree and some educational work experience.



Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated passion for STEM education.



Preferred Qualifications: Master’s (or equivalent) in an education-related discipline. Seven (7) years of experience in K–12 education, outreach, or youth program coordination.
