About the Department

Pay: $15.00–$17.00/hour (5 Positions)


Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Preferred Dates: May 28-August 7 (Potentially ending August 28 if available) 


Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic Sports Camp Counselors to help create a fun, safe, and engaging summer experience for children through sports. Ideal candidates are passionate about athletics, enjoy working with kids, and are excited to be positive role models as part of a collaborative summer team.



Position Duties

  • Assisting with the operation of Summer Sports Camps, including Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Flag Football, and other programs
  • Helping develop and teach sport-specific curriculum for various age groups
  • Engaging with children in a fun, safe, and educational environment
  • Supporting additional programs such as Rec2U and our three main summer camps
  • Serving as a positive role model and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Provide excellent care and customer service to the public

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Knowledge of one or more sports (basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, flag football preferred)
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well with children
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • CPR/First Aid American Red Cross Certification (training provided if necessary)
