Givaudan Flavors Corporation: Warehouse Supervisor (Multiple Positions), South Hackensack, NJ

DUTIES:

· Oversee and coordinate warehouse/shipping and logistics team members, including mentoring, coaching, and instructing, and providing performance management.

· Assist in training new employees with department and company policies. Ensure the team is complying with all company policies.

· Review employee and temporary staffing punches, reporting corrections to Payroll. Approve employee time-off requests.

· Coordinate with Production, Shipping, and Logistics departments/teams to compile and ship scheduled orders on a timely basis.

· Ensure all orders and packages that leave the warehouse are complete and in good condition.

· Troubleshoot Warehouse issues, such as missing drums or late batches.

· Maintain inventory of packaging supplies.

· Maintain the cleanliness and order of the work areas, in accordance with correlating SOPs and/or Manager's instructions.

· Report to Manager any emergencies, safety issues, employee concerns, or any other issues that arise.

· Work in accordance with all relevant requirements, including but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, and internal safety and sanitation guidelines. Communicate potentially hazardous conditions, as they appear.

· Attend site training sessions including, but not limited to, hazardous waste training, quality training, and general safety training.

· Lead Lean activities or the team.

· Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance.

· Perform routine work assignments, multi-tasking, and follow instructions with moderate supervision; and work well under pressure.

· Other tasks as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or foreign equivalent followed by 5 years of experience supporting functions/processes used in a computerized warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, inventory or other operations setting.

 

Qualified candidate must also possess:

· 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a Manufacturing or Shipping/Warehouse department.

· Demonstrated knowledge of:

- PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and ERP systems.

- Quality, EHS, and Food Safety programs.

Must possess or be eligible to obtain DOT, IATA and general awareness hazard training certification within 90 days of hire.

Position will require occasional exposure to dust and other inhalation factors, such as product vapors and smells; candidate must be physically able to lift, push and/or pull up to 25kgs unassisted on a regular and daily basis.

SALARY: $83,262 to $138,614 per year
