Job Description

Position Overview

Green Leaf Productions is seeking a few Studio Camera Operators with solid experience in the film or television industry to support our in-studio productions. The ideal candidates are skilled at operating professional broadcast and cinema cameras in a controlled studio environment and understands how to capture dynamic, clean, and consistent visuals for a wide range of productions—from commercial and interview-based content to scripted studio setups.

This role is ideal for someone with a technical eye, creative instincts, and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate studio cameras during multi-camera productions, interviews, promotional shoots, and other in-house content
  • Familiarity with in-studio cameras such as Blackmagic, Canon, and Sony.
  • Set up and maintain camera equipment, tripods, monitors, and studio lighting as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the Director, Technical Director, and production crew to ensure visual continuity
  • Frame and adjust shots based on blocking, shot lists, or real-time direction
  • Perform focus pulls, zooms, pans, and other camera movements with precision
  • Monitor technical quality of footage and flag issues in real time
  • Support rehearsals and equipment checks prior to live or recorded sessions
  • Assist with camera prep, maintenance, and breakdown after shoots
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain gear in top working condition
  • Stay current on camera operation trends and techniques relevant to studio work

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional experience as a studio camera operator or camera assistant in the film/TV industry
  • Proficiency with professional camera systems (Blackmagic, Sony, Canon, RED, etc.) and broadcast-style control
  • Strong understanding of composition, camera movement, and studio production dynamics
  • Ability to follow direction while also showing initiative and creative framing instincts
  • Comfortable operating in a multi-camera or live-switched production environment
  • Solid understanding of basic lighting and exposure principles
  • Technical troubleshooting skills with camera, monitor, and signal systems
  • Able to work flexible hours based on production schedules
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team environment
